iCone’s IoR - Internet of RoadWork™ has just dramatically expanded its coverage to include moving-Work Zone data from SkipLine® by SpecRite®. An industry leader in pavement marking controls, SkipLine manufactures both marking equipment and devices that continuously log data such as device location, diagnostics, system parameters, and more. By SkipLine directly sending their data from their Pigeon, HDVO-318, and DL-18 devices to iCone’s IoR, iCone is now able to provide navigation apps such as Waze® and Google Maps® additional information about road striping activities, further improving the benefits connected equipment provides to motorists and workers.
The Internet of RoadWork creates a digitally connected set of work zone traffic control and roadway infrastructure. Drivers, contractors, and traffic managers receive real-time status about key traffic control equipment being used in roadway construction operations performing tasks such as temporary work zones, lane closures, and now road striping projects through automatic communications from equipment embedded inside important roadway infrastructure.
